Evolutio is Australia's only carbon-offset physiotherapy clinic. Since 2020, we've partnered with Greenfleet to plant native forests. Since 2021, we've rewarded patients who walk, ride, or run to their appointments. Since always, we've believed that treating athletes means protecting the environments they train in.
Why We Do This
Environmental health is athlete health.
Melbourne's runners depend on clean air along the Yarra River trails. Our cyclists ride roads affected by climate-driven weather extremes. CrossFit athletes train in spaces that consume energy and generate waste. Rising temperatures affect training capacity. Poor air quality reduces respiratory performance. Degraded natural spaces limit training options.
We founded Evolutio in Richmond in 2013 to build a clinic we'd actually want to go to ourselves. In 2020, we extended that thinking to include the planet. "Move Lightly" isn't a marketing programme — it's a set of specific, measurable actions we hold ourselves accountable to. If we fall short of a goal, we say so publicly. That's the deal.

Carbon Offset Forestry
Australia's only physio clinic partnered with Greenfleet for native forest revegetation. Our "Keanu Reeves Milestone Forest" at Ngulambarra in Central Victoria: 0.1 hectares, 20+ native species, protected for 100 years, actively sequestering carbon and restoring habitat for endangered wildlife on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people.
Active Transport Rewards
The Green Loyalty Card — running since 2021. Earn a stamp every time you arrive by bike, foot, skateboard, or public transport. 10 stamps = 1 free physio session. Over 1,247 stamps issued. We also offer a 5% discount for active or public transport arrivals, and provide secure bike parking at our Richmond clinic.
Clinic Operations
100% paperless patient communications. Biodegradable cleaning products throughout our three-level warehouse. Local Richmond suppliers to minimise transport emissions. LED lighting, efficient HVAC, and ongoing investigation into renewable energy. Transitioning to reusable, washable towels with a 50% reduction target. Digital intake forms, emailed treatment plans, electronic receipts.

Four years on, the forest is growing with over 20 different native species, making a measurable impact in restoring biodiverse ecosystems and reconnecting habitat for wildlife, including many endangered species.
Greenfleet has delivered climate action for a quarter of a century. Our Milestone Forest is now actively sequestering carbon while restoring the environment at Ngulambarra — working alongside the Djaara people to heal and protect Country for future generations.
Our partnership aligns with the City of Melbourne Climate Change Mitigation Strategy, Sustainability Victoria guidance, and Australian Conservation Foundation advocacy priorities.

To the best of our knowledge, yes. We've been partnered with Greenfleet since December 2020. The partnership is independently verifiable through Greenfleet's CEO communications and our dedicated forest webpage. If another clinic can demonstrate an equivalent partnership, we'd happily acknowledge them — and we'd encourage every healthcare provider to consider carbon offsetting.
We publish specific, measurable data — not vague commitments. 1,247 Green Card stamps issued. 0.1 hectares revegetated. 20+ native species planted. 100% paperless patient communications.
