Pricing, insurance, bookings, what we actually do in a session, and why we're set up the way we are. If something's missing, just call us.

What to expect from your first visit. No surprises.
Your first visit is a 45-minute assessment — properly longer than the 30-minute industry standard, and the difference shows in outcomes. Here's how it runs:
Within 48 hours you'll receive an email with your diagnosis, a week-by-week recovery timeline, and video exercises. You'll know exactly where you stand.
The short version: longer sessions, same physio every time, treatment that actually starts in session one, and a space that doesn't feel like a hospital corridor.
The longer version: most clinics give you 30 minutes and rotate you through whoever's available. We book 45-minute initial assessments, you see the same practitioner every time, and the waiting room has reclaimed timber and good music rather than plastic chairs and daytime TV. The gym has squat racks, kettlebells, and VALD testing equipment that used to be exclusive to elite clubs. We've been doing this since 2013.
Wear something loose and comfortable that gives access to the area we're treating — shorts or leggings for lower limb and back issues, singlet or loose tee for shoulder and neck. Bring:
Yes. WhatsApp us on +61 430 436 531 and the first available physio will call you back. Or call 03 9100 3798 or email info@evolutio.com.au. We're happy to talk through what's going on before you commit to booking.
We get this a lot. It usually comes down to one of three things: the treatment wasn't specific enough to your body or sport, the sessions were too short to get to the root of it, or the real cause was never identified — only the symptoms were managed.
For cases like this, our Second Opinion session (75 minutes, $300) is worth considering. We review your full history, all your imaging, and every treatment you've had, then give you an independent assessment and a clear plan. No attachment to what anyone else has said.

Founded with a genuine dislike of sterile clinics and an obsession with getting people back to what they love. Over a decade on, that hasn't changed.
Our Story02
We're open early, late, and Saturdays. Good healthcare should fit around your life.
Yes — the booking system is live 24/7. Choose your practitioner, appointment type, and time. Same-day spots are often available for urgent cases; evenings and Saturdays tend to book out 3–4 weeks ahead.
We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule — it lets us offer the slot to someone who needs it. Late cancellations and no-shows may incur a fee. Full details at our cancellation policy page.
Depends on the injury, how long you've had it, your goals, and how consistently you do your home exercises. We give you a clear timeline after your initial assessment and update it as you progress. We won't keep you coming in beyond what's necessary.
Roughly: acute injuries often clear in 4–8 sessions. Chronic or post-surgical cases usually need 8–16+. ACL reconstruction is 10–12 months.
Yes — you can email your physio with questions about your exercises at any point. Members also have direct WhatsApp access during business hours. For anything that needs a proper look, book a follow-up.

All fees include hands-on treatment, not just exercise instruction. An $85 deposit is taken at booking for initial consultations; the balance is paid on the day.

Bayden Campbell and Phill Danzi are Senior Physiotherapists with 8–10 years of private practice experience and thousands of clients between them. Their fees reflect that depth of experience. Shirouz Elango and Kelsi Parker are experienced, evidence-based clinicians who provide the same thorough assessment and hands-on treatment — they're an excellent starting point for most new patients.
Both tiers follow the same standards: 45-minute initial assessments, hands-on treatment from session one, same practitioner every visit. The difference is years behind the desk and the complexity of cases each typically handles.
No — you can only claim one or the other per session, not both. If you have an EPC plan and private health cover, choose whichever gives you the better return for that particular appointment. Ask us if you're not sure which applies.
Yes. Our membership is available to select clients who've been through a proper course of treatment with us. It includes weekly sessions with a dedicated physio, direct WhatsApp access during business hours, access to Sam's exercise physiology programming, sports dietitian support, and programming for running, cycling, triathlon, or strength work. If you think you'd be a good fit, email info@evolutio.com.au.

Approved TAC provider. We handle the billing. Gap fees apply because our session fees exceed the TAC schedule.
Yes. We're an approved TAC physiotherapy provider. A claim number is required when you book. We bill TAC directly; you pay the gap after your session.
To get started, email info@evolutio.com.au — we'll sort the booking from there.
Get in touch and we'll talk through your options. In some cases we can start treatment and sort billing once the claim is approved. Early treatment tends to produce significantly better outcomes — we'd rather work around the admin than have you waiting.

Yes. We're an approved WorkSafe Victoria provider. Because our sessions run longer than the WorkSafe schedule, gap fees apply:
Bring your claim number and case manager's details to your first appointment.
Yes. We work with your case manager, employer, and treating doctors to build a practical return-to-work plan. We can assess your functional capacity, recommend modifications, and set up a graduated return program that keeps everyone on the same page.

Up to 5 Medicare-subsidised sessions per calendar year. Requires a GP referral and a valid chronic condition.
Yes. With a valid EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) or Chronic Disease Management referral from your GP, you can access up to 5 Medicare-subsidised physiotherapy sessions per calendar year.
How the claiming works: you pay the full session fee on the day, then claim approximately $60 back per session yourself using the Medicare Easyclaim app and the invoice we give you. We don't process EPC claims at the terminal — you self-claim after each appointment.
To book, call 03 9100 3798 or WhatsApp +61 430 436 531.
You can continue at standard private rates, use your private health insurance for ongoing sessions, or ask your GP about a new EPC plan in the following calendar year.

Long hours at a screen take a real physical toll. We treat Richmond's professionals as much as its athletes.
Yes — tech neck and lower back pain from sustained sitting are among our most common presentations. We'll assess your setup, give you exercises you can actually do at work, and build a treatment plan around your schedule. We also do workstation assessments for home and office environments if the setup itself is the problem.
Computer RSI — carpal tunnel, mouse elbow, forearm tension — is very common and very treatable. Manual therapy, specific strengthening, setup changes, and some education about how you're working usually sorts it within 6–12 weeks.
Yes. Work stress often lands physically — muscle tension, tension headaches, jaw clenching, disrupted sleep. We treat the physical components through manual therapy and teach you strategies to manage stress-related tension and improve your resilience.
We'll set you up with travel-friendly exercises, practical tips for long-haul flights and hotel gym limitations, and virtual check-ins when you can't get in. We can also schedule sessions around your travel calendar so you're not starting from scratch every time you're back in Melbourne.

Honest timelines. You deserve to know what you're working towards, not just reassurance that you'll be fine.
Most people notice something shifting within the first 3–5 sessions. If nothing's improving after 4–5, we reassess — we're not going to keep doing the same thing and hope for a different result.
Your physio will give you a specific timeline at your initial assessment — these are averages, not guarantees.
Normal and expected in the first few sessions. Your body is adapting to new movement patterns, muscles that haven't been loaded properly may ache, and we're often correcting compensatory habits that have built up over time. Post-session soreness typically settles within 24–48 hours and usually means things are moving in the right direction.
Very. People who do their home exercises consistently recover 2–3 times faster than those who don't — that's not us being dramatic, it's just how tissue adaptation works. We'll email you a program with video links within 48 hours of each session so there's no guessing what you should be doing.
Sports & Performance
We work with the full range — weekend runners, AFL players, Olympic weightlifters, CrossFit competitors, cyclists, and anyone in between. The standard of care doesn't change based on your level.

Evidence-based, active-focused, and genuinely invested in the outcome. Here's what that means in practice.
Not here. Manual therapy — massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling — is part of what we do, but we put equal weight on active rehabilitation. We prescribe exercises with purpose, explain why each one matters, and build progressive programming to restore strength and function that lasts beyond the clinic.
The gym has squat racks, kettlebells, VALD testing equipment, and assault bikes — all integrated into treatment, not just used for show.
We recommend it — continuity is a big part of why our approach works. Your physio knows your history, your body, your goals, and what's shifted from session to session. That said, if you'd rather see someone else, just say so and we'll sort it. No awkwardness.
Yes. We treat everyone from people returning to walking the dog without pain to elite athletes. Daily activities, work injuries, general wear and tear — the quality and care you receive doesn't change based on how much you lift or how fast you run.
It's one of our main goals. We focus on movement patterns, load management, and building the strength and awareness that makes injuries less likely to happen again. The time spent getting it right now saves a lot of time dealing with the same problem again in six months.

Sports physio is our actual speciality — not a tagline. Here's what that means across different sports.
It's what we do all day, every day. Our team has worked with park runners, AFL players, elite cyclists, CrossFit competitors, Olympic weightlifters, and international athletes. We're not a general clinic trying to be all things to all people. If you're active and something hurts, that's our lane. The team includes a former AFL AFLW Rehab Lead and physios who have spent 10+ years exclusively in sports injury.
Yes — load management, gait analysis, and injury prevention for runners building towards the Melbourne Marathon or similar is exactly what we're set up for. See our running physio page and our partner site HomeRun Melbourne for more.
Since 2013. We understand Olympic lifting mechanics, gymnastics movements, and how WODs are structured — so when something goes wrong, we can modify your training sensibly while you recover rather than just telling you to stop. Community partners of CrossFit Hawthorn East and CrossFit CBD. CrossFit physio page →
Yes. ACL rehabilitation is a core speciality. Evidence-based protocols, VALD strength testing throughout every phase, and a clear return-to-sport process. Read our complete ACL recovery guide →
Cycling is a flagship speciality. We treat cycling-related injuries — knee pain, lower back, saddle discomfort, shoulder tension — and work with our partner Ciclo Melbourne for comprehensive bike fitting.
