Physiotherapist-led, not just fitting
Every bike fit starts with a clinical assessment of your body — flexibility, joint mobility, muscle imbalances, and injury history. The fit follows the physio, not the other way around.

Why Evolutio & Ciclo
Cyclists have specific needs — sustained postures, repetitive movements, and the constant balance between power output and injury risk. Most sports physios treat cyclists. We are cyclists. That's a meaningful difference.
Shirouz works across both Evolutio Sports Physio and our partner brand Ciclo Melbourne — completing physiotherapist-led bike fits and treating the full range of cycling-specific injuries. As an Ironman 70.3 triathlete himself, he bridges the gap between clinical expertise and real-world riding in a way few practitioners can.
Every bike fit starts with a clinical assessment of your body — flexibility, joint mobility, muscle imbalances, and injury history. The fit follows the physio, not the other way around.
Shirouz is an Ironman 70.3 triathlete and multi-sport athlete. When he discusses training load, recovery, and the frustration of being sidelined — it's lived experience, not a textbook.
We assess your biomechanics both on the bike and off it, identifying what's driving your symptoms whether it's saddle height, cleat alignment, hip mobility, or core weakness.
Road cyclist chasing a PB. Triathlete balancing three disciplines. CBD commuter with persistent back pain. Weekend Dandenongs rider. Every program is built around where you ride and why.
Bike Fitting
Both fits are conducted by Shirouz — a physiotherapist and Ciclo-certified bike fitter. The process begins with a phone call to discuss your goals, equipment, and any injury history before your session. You can also read more about our bike fits at Ciclo Melbourne.

Every fit begins before you arrive. A phone call covers your goals, riding history, and any pain or discomfort you're experiencing. This lets Shirouz tailor the session before you've even walked through the door.
On the day: a thorough off-bike assessment of your body mechanics, flexibility, and strength. Then on the bike — position analysis, precise saddle and handlebar adjustments, cleat alignment, and real-time feedback as you ride.
You leave with a fully documented fit report, specific strength and flexibility recommendations, and a clear understanding of what changes were made and why. For the Tailored Fit, a comprehensive follow-up report is included.
Shirouz also works with Ciclo Melbourne — our dedicated cycling healthcare partner — for triathlon-specific positioning and road cycling performance optimisation.
Book a bike fitInjuries We Treat
Cycling's repetitive nature makes overuse injuries inevitable — unless the root cause is addressed. Here's what walks through our door most often, and how we fix it.
Pain around or behind the kneecap — almost always linked to saddle height, cleat alignment, or hip weakness. A bike fit often resolves this alongside targeted rehab.
Knee physio MelbourneOuter knee pain on cyclists is typically hip weakness and poor bike fit working together. We address both — the body and the bike — simultaneously.
Hip physio MelbourneSustained flexion on the bike loads the lumbar spine over hours. We identify whether the issue is bike position, core endurance, hip flexibility, or all three. Back physio Melbourne.
Holding a forward head posture for hours creates enormous load on the cervical spine. Handlebar height, reach, and upper back mobility all contribute. Neck physio Melbourne.
Cleat position and saddle height directly affect how the Achilles is loaded on every pedal stroke. We treat the tendon and fix the setup causing it. Foot & ankle physio.
Ulnar nerve compression from handlebar pressure causes numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand. Handlebar position, padding, and riding technique all play a role.

Originally from Singapore and based in Melbourne since graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Shirouz is the most hands-on practitioner you'll find. He treats everyone the same — elite triathlete or casual commuter — with the same standard of care and genuine interest in solving the problem.
As a hockey player, soccer player, and Ironman 70.3 triathlete, Shirouz understands training load and the frustration of being sidelined. He co-founded a health tech startup specialising in custom 3D printed orthotics, and volunteers as physio for Old Melburnians Soccer Club — because apparently treating patients five days a week isn't quite enough. A physiotherapist-led bike fit combines a full clinical assessment of your body with precise bike adjustments. Unlike a standard fit, it accounts for your injury history, muscle imbalances, joint mobility, and movement asymmetries — so the fit works for your body specifically, not a generic model. Yes — cycling knee pain is extremely common and almost always linked to saddle height, cleat alignment, or hip weakness. The advantage of a physiotherapist-led fit is that we assess both the bike and the body simultaneously, rather than treating them as separate problems. Knee physio Melbourne.
We treat knee pain (patellofemoral syndrome, patellar tendonitis), lower back pain, neck and shoulder strain, Achilles tendonitis, IT band syndrome, hip and groin issues, and cyclist's palsy (hand/wrist numbness). We address both the body and the bike setup causing the injury.
If you have pain or injury specifically on the bike, our Tailored Bike Fit (which includes a physio assessment) is often the most efficient option. If your pain occurs off the bike too, start with a standard physio appointment. Not sure? WhatsApp Shirouz and he'll point you in the right direction.
