The physio who knows exactly what it feels like to be sidelined from the sport you love.
Jeroen's path into physiotherapy started the way it does for a lot of runners: with one injury too many. Being unable to train pushed him to understand why his body kept breaking down and how to fix it properly, and that curiosity became a career.
He completed his Master in Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences in Belgium in 2014, followed by a postgraduate qualification in manual therapy at the same university in 2016. He has since trained internationally to become a certified Neurokinetic Therapist, an approach focused on finding and correcting muscle imbalances and compensation patterns.
After working in several physiotherapy clinics in Belgium, Jeroen moved to New Zealand, where he ran his own practice for around three years and looked after the Kapiti Coast United women's football team. He then relocated to Melbourne, treating runners, athletes and anyone with a persistent niggle before joining Evolutio in Richmond. Jeroen speaks English, Dutch, German and French, so you can have your consultation in the language you're most comfortable with.
Outside the clinic, Jeroen has run eight marathons, including the Melbourne Marathon, with a personal best of 2:32:11. In 2026 he ran 500km over 13 days along sections of the World War I front line. If you're a runner, he speaks your language. If you're not, he still understands what it takes to keep a body performing under load. What to look for in a physiotherapist
